Hour Glass Poem

Anthony F. Rando

The Hour-Glass

Small specks of sand; here in this glass,
Moving faster with each momentary glance.
Could you believe our love is like this hour-glass.

Fragile like this glass cylinder,
Forcing each grain of sand into one,
For every grain has a meaning,

More valuable than the last one.
Uniting our love into one,
Let our heart’s shatter the glass.

Let’s have our love expressed,
For each tiny grain of sand,
Reminds me of moment spent with you.

For each second that passes brings me happiness,
Knowing you are there.
Beyond the specks of sand, here in this hour-glass.
